The trempó is a typical Mallorcan dish, very famous during the summer. It is a dish that is served cold and can be eaten either alone or accompanied by grilled meat or fish.
The word trempó comes from trempar that in Mallorcan means to season, the trempó is a mixture of onion, pepper and tomato seasoned.
It is a very healthy, balanced, very natural and low calorie dish.
Most Mallorcan people eat it with a slice of farm bread that wet inside the juice left by the tomatoes mixed with the oil and the vinegar.
- 2 large and ripe tomatoes
- 2 green peppers
- 1 white onion
The recipe of the trampó is very simple, they are caught the peppers and it cut into small pieces, then do the same with onions. Take the tomatoes, peel them and cut them into small pieces. (The measure depends on the taste of each person).
It is seasoned to taste with oil, vinegar and salt.
If you want, you can also add tuna, hard-boiled egg or olives. .
