Description

Es Muntant is a restaurant located on Carretera de Esporles, at number 233, in Establiments going to Esporlas, very close to Palma.

Last Sunday we went to taste its midday menu. Our friends had spoken very well about it because it has a lot of variety and you can find very typical Mallorcan recipes at a great price.

The restaurant has a not very large room with simple decoration and plenty of tables, on the front outside there are two closed terraces with plastic roller shutters to prevent the cold, rain and wind from bothering customers and so you can eat out or drink something all year round.

The weekly menu costs 11 euros and a half menu 8.50, on the weekend it is a bit more expensive than the daily one, the Sunday menu is very well priced, 17.50 euros and includes a first course, a second, a dessert and drink (water, soda and wine), there is also the option of half menu for 11.50 euros that instead of including two dishes it only includes one. In the menu there were 9 first and 10 seconds, we chose, first of all, a fideua dish that was very rich and a seafood cream. From the second we chose oven baked ribs that included three rather lovely ribs, salad and chips and a plate of snails with aioli, very homemade and very good. As a dessert we chose two pieces of ensaimada, one filled with cream and the other with custard cream, very, very, very tasty. The menu that day had some Mallorcan dishes like: rabbit with onion, escaldums of chicken and meatballs and snails with aioli that were one of our choices as I have already mentioned.

At night they also make dinners , but they do not have a menu. We have been told that the frito mallorquin they make are very good and that the typical Mallorcan dishes, such as stuffed aubergines, Mallorcan cod, tongue with capers, tumbet, brut rice, ... are very homemade and big, we'll have to go and try them one of these days.

Also say that it has its own parking, not very large, although you can park a nearby street without problem and for those who like football comment that they have a large flat screen TV in the indoor room where you can watch the game that is currently playing. And important free wifi.
