Road Manacor, long, boring if it were not for so many roundabouts, mills, Xorrigo ... But suddenly you get hungry, you start to choose a restaurant mentally and can not think of any where you can eat traditional Mallorcan food, homemade and at an appropriate price.
If you ever find yourself in that situation, or a similar one, stop by Hortella d'en Cotanet without any hesitation. Hortella d'en Cotanet is located in a natural environment, quiet and magical, where time seems to stop. Thanks to the large windows of the living room and the terrace you can enjoy great views of the countryside and an organic garden that they use to cook their dishes; The porcelains, lamb or chickens are also organic, and that is very noticeable on the palate. You can enjoy their menus both at noon and at night.
In addition to good dishes, they are also convincing. The pot of arros brut that I ordered first, with about two or three servings per person, is a good sample of the amount they serve in their dishes. Accompany the menu with a very good house wine, an all i oli where you can taste the garlic and not milk, as it should be, and desserts, also homemade, round off a great meal.
This is an accessible restaurant since it has a large ramp parking to access the terrace and lift to the dining room, which is on the first floor.
I have read that on Thursday nights, in summer, take advantage of the terrace to organize Hortella Fests, which are acoustic, indie or jazz concerts. I have not been able to go to any yet but next summer does not happen.
